Harford County Housing Market June 2018
June was still a strong real estate market. Inventory is down. New listings in June were down 15.5% from May of this year and 5.7% from June 2017. However closed sales were up 3.3% from the same month in 2017.
In June of this year there was a 9.5 % increase in the median sold price over the same time last year. The median sold price rose from $252,000 in 2017 to $276,000 in June 2018.
With the lack of inventory on the market, the average days on the market was down to 35 in June. The average days on the market in June 2017 was 47. There was a 6.8% increase in home sales this month and a slight increase of home sales for the same time last year. There were 792 active listings this month which was a small increase over May 2018. These numbers continue to be down from where they were a year ago.
Mortgage interest rates remain low, businesses are expanding, and the stock market keeps going up.
